Be ye ready me hearties?  Sail the high seas in search of buried treasure and gold.  It be only a matter o’time before ye reveal your Pirate-tude and plunder CLAY riches bold.  Pieces of eight and clay treasure to behold.  Aye! Yo ho! Yo ho!

“Fairytale Clay” – Art Station

Spellbinding!  Invent your own fantastical fairyland full of wonder and mystery!  Imagine an enchanted kingdom and characters – all out of clay.  Use the extruder, the slab roller, practice coiling and scoring and create a MAGIC WORLD.

“Clay Expedition” – Art Station

Pack your gear and get ready for fun!  Explore “clay territory” with imagination and creativity; discover coil and slab work; build imaginative machines, crazy creatures, or sensational sculptures while investigating the wonder of clay.  The July session will focus on the arts of Africa, while the August session will focus on projects related to the Americas.

Totem Masks – Art Station & Deb’s Studio in Sisters

Totem Masks based on animal spirits and traits represent the power of ancient symbols and traditions held by many cultures and peoples of the world.  Explore and learn about Native American animal totems and then create your own themed clay totem mask to personify a visual metaphor in this fun and unique workshop.

Tabletop Clay Figures – Art Station

Develop artistic skills and a personal and creative approach to sculpture as you create unique hand-built clay figure small enough to enhance your tabletop.  Learn about proportions, texture, expression, movement and composition.

Mexican Sun Plaques – Deb’s Studio in Sisters

Bring the cheer of the sun into your life while creating terra-cotta sun plaques similar to those from Mexico.  Using a red clay you will learn to form realistic faces and mystical rays for your own unique plaque.  This workshop is sure to be fun – come with a friend!
